Q: How do I find my vacation rental?

A: Great question and it's very easy! At the bottom of every web page is a link named "Directions". Click that link. Look for the name of your unit and click it. It's that simple.

Q: Are there things to do nearby?

A: Absolutely and more than I can tell you here!  We have a link on this website called "Around Town", there are some brochures at Bangor Airport about Downeast Maine, Acadia, Washington County etc. A great resource for you to use ( aside from our website is VisitEastport.com

Q: Is there daily housekeeping

A: No.  Housekeeping is provided between stays (before your arrival and after to departure).  Your linens and towels when you check in our clean and ready as is your rental. Longer-term stays ( 7 or more nights make specific arrangements in advance).

Q: We only want to stay one night or two maybe.

A: Our model is based on a standard vacation rental model of a 3-night minimum. Hotels/motels or other lodging options may be more suitable for you, and there are several in the Washington County area to choose from.

Q: Why do we have to pay a cleaning fee?

A:  Unlike hotels, or motels cleaning costs are more about "economy of scales."  Where a hotel room is about half the size, doesn't include a kitchen, has employees,  consistent occupancy, typically doesn't have a kitchen, etc, etc, etc.  Vacation rentals are the opposite and cater to different guests. Cleaning fees are a part of the vacation rental model, allowing us to hire housekeepers on a la carte basis to clean larger spaces with more bedrooms kitchens, and spread out. With the big rental agencies like AIRBNB and VRBO, they are incorporated into a booking or administrative fee.

Q: What about air conditioning and heat

A:  We do not have air conditioning or heat.  We are a seasonal vacation destination where people come to beat the heat by enjoying cool breezes. We are open from mid-April through mid - October and average temperatures range between 54 and 74.  No doubt some days are different than others but nature's climate is what we use, and we believe it works just fine.

Q: What channels do you offer on the tv's

A:  We do not have tv's
